ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: ഒരു ദിവസം മുഴുവന്‍, അതായത് തുടര്‍ച്ചയായ 24 മണിക്കൂര്‍ ഒന്നും കഴിക്കാനില്ലാത്തിടത്തോളം കടുത്ത പട്ടിണിയും ദാരിദ്യ്രവും അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികളുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയും പശ്ചിമ ആഫ്രിക്കയും ഒരുപോല എന്ന് ടെലിഗ്രാഫിന്റെ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. ഇന്ത്യ അതിതീവ്ര ദാരിദ്യ്രത്തെ മറികടന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്ന യുഎസ് തിങ്ക് ടാങ്കിന്റെ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് പുറത്തുവന്നതിനു പിന്നാലെയാണ് നേര്‍വിപരീതമായി പുതിയ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നത്.

ദിവസം മുഴുവന്‍ പട്ടിണികിടക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്ന ഇന്ത്യയിലെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ ശതമാനം പശ്ചിമ ആഫ്രിക്കന്‍ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലേതിന് തുല്ല്യമാണെന്നാണ് ടെലിഗ്രാഫ് ആരോപിക്കുന്നത്. കേന്ദ്ര ആരോഗ്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്‍റെ 2019~2021ലെ ദേശീയ കുടുംബാരോഗ്യ സര്‍വേയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഡാറ്റ ശേഖരിച്ചാണ് ഇതുസംബന്ധിച്ച പഠനം നടത്തിയതെന്നും അവകാശപ്പെടുന്നു.

ഗിനിയ, ബെനിന്‍, ലൈബീരിയ, മാലി എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ നിരക്കുകളുമായാണ് ഇതില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കുട്ടികളെ താരതമ്യം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഹാര്‍വാര്‍ഡ് സര്‍വകലാശാലയിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ ആരോഗ്യ ഗവേഷകനായ എസ്.വി സുബ്രപ്മണ്യവും സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകരും നടത്തിയ പഠനം ജമാ നെറ്റ്വര്‍ക്ക് ഓപ്പണില്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഇന്ത്യയിലെ "സീറോ ഫുഡ്' കുട്ടികളുടെ എണ്ണം 19 ശതമാനമാണെന്ന് പഠനം കണക്കാക്കുന്നു, ഗിനിയയിലെ 21.8%, മാലിയുടെ 20.5% എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം മൂന്നാമതാണ് ഇന്ത്യ. ബംഗ്ളാദേശ് (5.6%), പാകിസ്താന്‍ (9.2%), ഡിആര്‍ കോംഗോ (7.4%), നൈജീരിയ (8.8%), എത്യോപ്യ (14.8%) എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ കണക്കുകള്‍ വളരെ കുറവാണെന്നും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു.
